CarOnSale is one of the leading online marketplaces for used cars in Germany. Users can sell or buy a used car and have access to thousands of dealers and vehicles throughout Europe. Since the promising start-up experienced a major upswing and soon became a competitive scale-up, the team was looking to further expand their successful business model, which required an efficient procedural and technical roll-out of the platform.

CarOnSale has been growing fast over the last couple of years, both in team size and in expansion volume. Mastering growth to scale an online business usually comes with a lot of common procedural, organizational and technological challenges, such as finding reliable employees fast or overcoming language barriers, which is especially true for a complex digital product like an online marketplace.

At 02100 Digital, we have been supporting CarOnSale's rapid growth process and expansion plans throughout the last couple of years (witnessing their team growing strongly from 30 to 100+ employees). Additionally to rebuilding their website in Webflow to make maintenance for the marketing team more convenient, the following to tasks were particularly crucial to be tackled fast and in correspondence to their increasing business requirements: We automated important workflows, such as the talent application process by integrating a job board – connecting Webflow and Greenhouse –, and we rolled out their website in 9 languages with Weglot, ensuring an optimized visibility of the new international marketplaces through their respective regional subdomain.
